The instructions in the "Arcadian" refer to "<Crypt-o-Grams>" as "Cryptologic."
The instructions from the newsletter are here:

Cryptologic: This is a two-player game that can also be played by teams,
rotating turns at guessing. When the screen asks, enter the number of letters
in your word(s). (From 6 to 20) Spaces count as letters. While your opponents
face the other way, enter your word(s) using the keypad. If you make an error,
you must restart the game (press HALT, then WORDS RUN GO). After checking for
errors, press GO. The entry will be erased, and then scrambled, using a random
scrambling technique. The "other side" must rearrange the letters/spaces into
the proper relationship using a minimum number of moves.
